Celebrating 10 Years | RIBA Chartered XUL Architecture

Written by XUL Architecture | Dec 10, 2018 12:00:00 AM

XUL has reached it’s 10 year milestone and we couldn’t be happier! From being 2 architects, to working as a team of 11 people in the heart of Belsize Park, XUL have come a long way. It’s been a great journey and we’re all excited to see what the future has in-store for XUL.

Please find below a few great moments in our history which have led us to this point.

XUL is born as a client focused architectural practice. Together we work to find ingenious ways of introducing natural light into our clients projects.

We use Crittall Glass to open up the living room space and let more light into the hallway

The judges considered the refurbishment, to be “both sensitive and elegant”.

We love building meaningful relationships with everyone we meet, so we opened our Belsize Village Practice to bring us closer to our local community. Come and say hi!

Fun fact

Our Belsize Practice was originally a Barber Shop! We refurbished the old barber shop into a bright, engaging space to work in. If that wasn’t enough to get your head around, we also up-cycled the barbering mirrors that were left behind to create a grand sculpture which guides even more natural light into the lower ground floor. Read more about XUL Architecture Office.

We won the Barnet Architecture Award for “Best Project”. The judges describe our use of light as “generally very well manipulated”. Click to experience our award winning project.

We opened a second office to better serve our local clients and partners in the Hampstead area.

The future of XUL is bright! With 2018 being our most successful year, we look forward to exploring even more ways of bringing light into our clients lives.

A great percentage of our clients have come to us after feeling they weren’t being listened to by their previous architects. At XUL we value our clients experience and begin the design process by listening. This simple principle is carried throughout each stage of every project we do.

Architecture is as much about relationships as it is about design.

We would like to thank you for choosing XUL as your local architects – We look forward to continuing in our mission to de-mystify architecture & build even more trusted relationships with everyone we meet.

Here’s to 2019…
